Join us for this special workshop with Tom Ollendorf as he performs and discusses his approaches to improvisation and composition.
Guitarist Tom Ollendorff is widely recognised for his highly distinctive sound, which blends virtuosic technique with sophisticated harmonic language, nuance, and sensitivity. In 2022, he published Etudes, his first collection of works for solo guitar, with Faber Music. The book has since sold internationally across Europe, Asia, Australasia, and North America, cementing his reputation within the wider guitar community.
As a performer, Tom has collaborated with many leading international artists including Ari Hoenig, Bill McHenry, Geoff Simkins, Aaron Parks, Huw Warren, Tim Garland, Nitai Hershkovits, Ben Wendel and Jeff Ballard.
Alongside his performing career, Tom is currently a visiting tutor at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and has been a guest tutor at leading institutions worldwide, including the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Nanjing University, İstanbul Bahçeşehir University and Leeds Conservatoire.
