About JMI
JMI is the hub of jazz education and performance in Australia. At JMI, we’re about creating a world where everyone can play jazz.
We’re committed to providing high-quality and holistic jazz education programs of an international standard, focused on performance. To achieve this, JMI runs a range of jazz music education programs that suit everyone, from a Bachelor program to casual classes and lessons that are delivered by some of Australia’s finest jazz musicians and educators.
JMI is also committed to enriching the community through jazz music by providing platforms for its performance and development. We do this by running our own jazz club, JMI Live, and presenting hundreds of performances a year throughout the community.
Based in Brisbane, JMI has been delivering courses in jazz since 1997. JMI is a Higher Education Provider that is accredited by the Australian Government regulatory body, Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA).
