Dan Quigley’s early childhood was enriched by the presence of jazz legends Freddie Hubbard, Woody Shaw, Joe Henderson, John Scofield, Randy Brecker, Mulgrew Miller, Steve Turre, Rufus Reid, Dave Liebman and many more. His father Greg Quigley toured these jazz greats to Australia for concerts and workshops in the late 70’s and early 80’s while Dan was still an infant.
It wasn’t until his early 20’s did the impact of early exposure and connection to jazz legends spark the passion to pursue a career as a jazz musician, educator and advocate. Dan’s has been a professional musician for over 2 decades. He has performed with some of Australia’s finest musicians including Mike Nock, Dale Barlow, Judy Bailey, Craig Scott, Steve Brien, Col Loughnan, Grace Knight, David Campbell, James Morrison, Tim Rogers amongst many more.
Steeped in the hard bop tradition Dan Quigley will present a mix of original music as well as music from the jazz repertory.
